Semiconductor Business

Semiconductor products from DOWA Electronics Materials include high-purity gallium, gallium arsenic wafers, and infrared LEDs among others.

We have a large market share in infrared LEDs for applications such as medical and information communications equipment. Infrared LEDs are used in places that are familiar to us and are expected to see significant growth as a business. We have a leading global share in high-purity gallium and use it to make our wafers and infrared LEDS as well as have it be commercially available beyond our company.

We also commercialize nitride-based epitaxial substrates which will be used in next-generation mobile phones, millimeter-wave communication and EVs. We are also developing ultraviolet LEDs that are expected to be in many applications, such as skin treatment and resin hardening.
